Vimby (video in my backyard) was my first foray into interactive content publishing. I co-founded the video-based web site in 2007. The general idea was to create local original short form content that appealed to 18-24 year-olds. A production model was designed where “preditor” filmmakers were utilized in 18 of the biggest media markets that produced, shot, and edited their own docu-style films based on a production bible I formulated from my MTV reality tv days. The model proved to be successful as preditors churned out several videos a week focusing on the most influential tastemakers in music, actions sports, art, and pop culture.
Shortly after Vimby’s inception, we started to produce branded content for clients such as Puma, Nike 6.0, MySpace, Toyota, Interscope, Universal Music Group, URB Magazine, Inked Magazine, Flavorpill and more.
I joined in on the fun by using the alias “preditor” name of Fukwa Jameson and shot & edited a few pieces of my own. The profiles showcased here are ones that I produced as the Creative Director Zosimo Maximo and some under the moniker of Fukwa Jameson.
