I joined forces with Vincent Cox @ MySpace to collaborate on another project. This time we produced a new ad campaign for the Nokia Nuron with JWT. The “call-to-action” video features artist Tony Morgan formerly of Friends For Hire.

I recently cut this behind-the-scenes promo of a photo shoot by my man Marc Baptiste featuring Tyson Beckford [and one hot side kick] for Aprilia’s SXV motorcycle. Marc is a dope fashion and celebrity photographer and I have always been a fan of his work. He can light like no other and can make the most mundane situation sexy. Toyota just released a demo which I produced and directed last fall with Saatchi LA up in Yosemite National Park. It was my first time visiting Yosemite which was absolutely beautiful. It was also my first time off-roading and luckily had my FJ Cruiser to get us to the top of the mountain. It’s always great when work doesn’t feel like work and the job becomes more of an experience rather than another day at the office.

I had the pleasure to team up with the amazing artist Barbara Kruger and my good buddy director/DP Sam Ketay to work on Barbara’s upcoming video installation. Sam and I helped Barbara out on a video installation 6 years ago. Barbara is the coolest and sweetest person on the planet and it’s always a pleasure working with her. Unfortunately, she’s not one for photos so there’s none to post. Here’s a look at some of her past work.

I just completed the last webisode of a 9-part series for Wendy’s and MySpace called Fresh Faces. The video series features emerging artists Friend For Hire, iamOmni, and Locksley.

2010.  That sounds so futuristic.  I remember when I was a kid and Prince’s 1999 seemed so far away.  Other than being able to hover in some type of aircraft over the 405 traffic like George Jetson, I feel that the advancement of technology over the past few decades has been incredible.  Blogs, iPhones, and cars that park themselves… where would we be without them?  I’d imagine we’d be okay because my 73 year-old mother doesn’t use anything too advanced and does just fine day to day.

As for me, I embrace technology and integrate it into my daily life.  My four-year old son knows how to navigate his way through Youtube and uses words like “iPod.”  It is a brave new world and I look forward to what this decade will bring.  As I enter into 2010, I do it with this site which hopefully documents a few things I contribute to the world artistically and professionally – especially in the new media landscape.
